Integrated painting is an artistic form that derived from the development of modern art of printmaking. It is reacquainted through integration, which not only shrinks the gap between various versions of paintings, but also blurs the boundary from other artistic forms. As the society develops and the industry steps forward, the application of emerging materials in integrated painting further enhances the artistic inspiration, laying a solid foundation for the emergence of new conceptions and techniques.Since 1990, when it was born in China, the comprehensive materials have been given great priority as expressing techniques and attracted attentions from society. Some artists at home and abroad by works for the engraving of innovation brings new valuable research, which played a significant role in popularizing the comprehensive materials. This study represents the formation of local and overseas comprehensive painting, analyses its techniques and the related experiences of the researcher, evaluating the art works of famous painters, related producing method and forms, having a taste of the conditions of its current development in art stage, as well as predicting the further tendency of comprehensive materials. All mentioned above appear to be prefect references for contemporary art research about comprehensive materials.This study can be divided into four parts:the first part gives an overall introduction about the formation of comprehensive materials. The second part specifically describes and discusses the application of comprehensive materials in the printmaking. The third part mainly presents the development of comprehensive materials. The conclusive part explores the tendency of comprehensive materials in the further.
