Nietzsche took life as a measure to revalue everything. He strongly criticized the Christianity for its reverse value In the Antichrist.Christian reverse values are cherished especially by the Antichrist. So we must figure out what the Antichrist is. Firstly, I examine the etymological meaning of the Antichrist. Secondly, I analyze its meaning in the writings of Nietzsche. Then, I draw an distinction between them and show the different ways of understanding the Antichrist and different translation of the Antichrist. Further, I explore Nietzsche’s connotation of Antichrist synthetically:The Antichrist used by Nietzsche said, refers to the disciples of Christ, Christianity and Christian values, and they all betrayed Christ.Nietzsche criticized the Antichrist for their reverse values, and the reasons are as follows:First, the Antichrist reversed the gospel of Christ; Second, the Antichrist reversed the value of life. The Antichrist departed from Christ since the death of Jesus, and it is the disciples of Jesus that first departed from Christ. Since it comes to Jesus, we have to figure out what kind of people Jesus is. With this known, we could be able to know what Jesus himself once claimed, thus we can understand why the Antichrist had departed from Christ. So I start from the real Jesus to expose his disciples’ departure, especially the St. Paul. The Antichrist refers not only Christians, but also refers to Christianity. Although Christianity and Paul’s departure from Christ both began from the death of Jesus, what Christian powerful place is that it had completely realized the value subversion. In Nietzsche’s view, not only the word "Christian" is a misunderstanding, but also the so-called word "Christianity" is simply a misunderstanding in psychological sense since two thousand years ago, because they didn’t practice the true teachings of Jesus. The most terrible thing of this departure is that it makes Nietzsche’s aristocratic value brutally. Christian "credit" is that they used Dalit’s moral and value successfully to revolt aristocratic moral and value, and achieved the greatest subversion of humanity value.Nietzsche believed that the reason that the Antichrist was able to achieve the subversion of value successfully was the logic of hatred and revenge form the Jews. To address this issue, Nietzsche started from the history of Christianity, and exposed the internal logic of Christian values via analyzing the relationship between Judaism and Christianity. In addition, Nietzsche regarded Buddhism and Hinduism as references to criticized Christianity further from the perspective of religion.Nietzsche’s criticism of the "Antichrist" showed his usual position to maintain the value of life. He advocated the value of life as a Christian value of opposites, thus "Antichrist", as a Christian spokesman on important value, naturally became Nietzsche’s focus of criticism. Since Nietzsche saw Paul and Christian as opposition of Jesus metaphorically, which made his criticism seem obscure, and it’s easy for those who couldn’t accurately grasp Nietzsche’s writing intention and critical target to produce misunderstanding. Therefore, this language master played with language in a wise or even smart way, also made a lot of people, who viewed the Antichrist as Nietzsche himself, misunderstand him.
