This thesis uses secretary Mo’s speech of the City Working Conference to Maintain Growth and Promote Development as simulation resource to study the local conferences interpretation. The purpose is to analyze the problems in interpretation process and bring forward some countermeasures to improve the quality of interpretation and to have a deep understanding of the local conference interpretation. This thesis is divided into three parts, task description, problem analysis and countermeasures. Chapter One gives a specific explanation of task background and preparation before simulation practice. The main contents of Chapter Two are to take some examples to make specific and deep analyze with the interpretation problems both in verbal aspect and non-verbal aspect. The verbal aspect problems discuss both diction and sentence structure. The non-verbal aspect starts from note taking and speech capacity, doing overall analysis of its auxiliary functions and the influence of speech capacity to interpretation.
