Legend of Warriors of Yang Family is a historical novel reviewed by Qinhuaimoke, which centers heroes of Yang family, narrates loyalty to the court of Yang’s five generations during the Northern Song Dynasty period and reveals the dark reality that yes men are in power. since its advent, it has received high attention of scholars on textual research and research results, while the novel text is paid to little attention and not into system. So based on The Romance of the Yang Family of Wo Songge version in 1606, this thesis explores the novel from three aspects. Firstly, “Version, Author and Theme Examination of The Romance of the Yang Family " searches for the theme of the novel from faithful evil struggle, destiny and tragedy through the examination of the existing versions and authors of Legend of Warriors of Yang Family. Secondly, “Character Analysis of The Romance of the Yang Family ” selects ten typical characters as five chapters according to the characters in common and analyzes the character’s biography and traits on the novel text. Thirdly, " Value of the The Romance of the Yang Family ” shows the unique charm of the novel mainly from the artistic value(brave image), ideological value(the establishment of new outlook about female) and folk value(fighting) dimensions and think highly of the text value of The Romance of the Yang Family and its position in the novel. The most prominent achievements of the novel is the thought value on the establishment of the new outlook on female, which has a great theoretical influence on the later research about female image shaping.The Romance of the Yang Family mainly talks about the story of warriors of Yang Family and is essential to be dug deeply on account of its significant research value about ideological content, characters shaping and artistic aspect.
