In the "Struggles in an Ancient City", it selects the typical female images "Mother Yang" "Yin Huan" "Jin Huan" to compare with "Miss Shan" and "Miss jiang" in the former folk operas. The thesis takes the musical text analysis as the key points, the music ontology analysis as the innovative points and compares three folk operas from different angles. It presents the evolutional changes in the female images. The absorption, reference and fusion of Chinese folk opera from foreign operas are influenced by the following factors, such as the development and progress of society, creators’the pursuit of art, public’s demand and so on. While a combination of Chinese and Western elements are beneficial to the progress of operas, stylized reference from the foreign operas abates the national characters, which is hard to spread and not easily accepted by the public. "The Red Coral", "Miss Jiang", "Struggles in an Ancient City" all show the systematic tune and respectively represents three different times. Meanwhile they are changing with the development of the times, in which the national character elements of female systematic tune are not missing in the contemporary Chinese folk operas.
