Research On The Chinese Temporal Words’ Errors And Teaching For English-speaking Learners

Temporal words, just as its name implies is words to express time meaning. Fully interpretation and analysis have been given upon temporal nouns and adverbs, but not enough attentions upon temporal words throughout the modern Chinese linguistics monographs. It is same status in the foreign Chinese teaching. Owing to the easy and understandable form of temporal words, many a student and teacher insufficiently notices the content, which leads to many related errors happened in students’ composition. As one of the most important content in primary stage of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, Temporal words is directly related to all aspects of learning Chinese in the future. The article conducts a thorough analysis and study on errors appeared in HSK dynamic composition corpus of Chinese learners who speak native English based on reviewing the related research achievements in the field of temporal words and temporal cognitive system, hoping to find a broad road for teaching Chinese temporal words.This paper will probe into discussion and research from four parts. In the first place, the introduction part, the article will give a detailed description about research purpose, methods, significance and the achievement of predecessors.In the first chapter, the researcher will go deep into the distribution, content and grammatical functions of temporal words, put forward relevantly the importance and difficulties of temporal words teaching as well as.In the second chapter, this article will focus on classification and analysis of the temporal words errors appeared in HSK dynamic composition corpus among Chinese learners who speak native English, and explore the attributions combining the related research achievements of temporal cognitive field.According to the results of analysis of the temporal words errors, the researcher will give some suggestions of Chinese temporal words teaching chapter there, and hope that this study could provide some help to Chinese temporal words teaching for the future.
