The Western Citizenship Of Equality Horizon And Its Enlightenment To Contemporary China

Along with the advancement of modernization and citizen moral construction,citizenship becomes a hot topic between Chinese and Western academic circles.The nationality of law angle,rights of political angle,virtue of moral angle and qualification of social angle,which constituties the basic research areas of citizenship perspectives.This paper with the concentration on citizenship of equality horizon has theorical and practical significance:one is to eliminate opposition of rights and virtue,hoping to build a complete theory of citizenship;the other is to try to provide a constructive path with the problems of citizenship equality in China.As the essence of citizenship,equality is not only overlapping but also is different from other identities(such as consumer identity or couples identity),It is belongs to the three-dimensional structure that consists of formal equality,substantive equality and ethical equality. Formal equality is precondition, Ethical equality is the moral quality,Substantive equality is the foundation, And the substantive equality is the foundation of sociality and economical that connect formal equaltiy and ethical equality, Ethical equality is the subject spirit that balances and achieves the organic unity between formal equality and substantive equality.According to western academic circles’ different attitudes toward the relations among the three equalities, constitute the liberal equal citizenship that emphasises the primary of rights,and the communitarian equal citizenship that emphasises the primary of morality,also the Marxist equal citizenship that emphasises the foudation of economy.At present the problem of citizenship equality is just formal equality not essential equality,and it also leads to the lack of moral equality.Guided by the Marxism equality,and compatible with the reasonable views from many schools of the westernequality,this article attempts to use the alliance and interaction of system, distribution,and virtue to build a structure that consists of formal equality,essential equality and moral equality.In order to come up with many feasible constructive ways to solve the problems of citizenship equality in China.
