Jean Marie Gustave Le Clézio is a famous French writer and the leading figure in contemporary French literary world. He is also one of the most representative writers of “New French Fable Literature” in the late 20 th century. In 2008, Le Clézio was awarded the Nobel prize for Literature.Le Clézio ’s texts are concise and informative……these texts are used widely as normal educational materials by many students. His texts pay more attention to Social marginal vulnerable groups and many children as well as women in a real-life environment which not mainstream civilization. The texts have strong exotic atmosphere, sincere words fresh feelings and concisely. Therefore in many texts, we study the female images very meaningfully.So, in this paper, I am going to choose representative female images who be written in order of time to divide different “Image Groups” as well as explain Le Clézio’s women viewpoint and standpoint. Of course,in order to describe the shift of change who female images, I will adopt his lives in a time period and environment which contribute to his views, so I also include his biography in this paper.This paper is divided into eight parts. In the first part, which is introductory, I write about the paper status of Le Clézio’s novels since the day they were published abroad and at home, and also presented the purpose and significance of this paper. Next is the first chapter, in which I will try to analyze the female images of Bea·b in the novel War and Ann in the novel Giant. They are “Image Groups” of symbol and view, what’s more, they stand for Le Clézio’s critique of capitalism.In the second chapter analysis of the character of La La,、Booth、Bushi and Uma. These female images were confused and helpless, so they just wandered everywhere. But they have owned specific images and the ups and downs in their lives. Astell as well as Lelia were analyzed in the third chapter. Compared with the previous female images, Astell and Lelia were more brave, hopeful and confident.In the fourth chapter, female images were grown women. Oti and Ardell were examples of them. They could take responsibility for their lives and as leaders to do everything for everybody. What’s more, Oti and Ardell made their homes. In the fifth chapter, Yudina with Mary showed the model women of new times to us. They stood for the newest viewpoint that Le Clézio created female images. In this time, the female created real social value as the male. In a word, the female made a contribution to society.The sixth chapter I will try to discuss the reasons of this change which from young to mature in female image. In the conclusion, I am going to reveal Le Clézio’s view point about women as well as analysis the female how to struggles for their rights to go through in this time.
