Currently, the research about the Mongolian ancient books are mainly emphasis on the history of Mongolian literature, restoration of Mongolian ancient books. While the study about the shape of Mongolia literal has not been attracted enough attention. Mongolian ancient books have the characteristic of large numbers,rich content and categories complicated.If we handle the Mongolian ancient books’original data as a research subject, to classify the basic shape of the Mongolian words and provide structural system database for Mongolian text, than we will establish the meta data standards to support building the system database of the Mongolian text font management. Besides, the structure elements of the sharp of the Mongolian word meta data and sub-elements will be the database to retrieve information in the future, to ensure the development of accurate and convenient of research and design. In this study, we chose the Mongolian ancient original books from Inner Mongolia and Beijing Wu Yingdian version as an object, which combined data collection of Mongol Yuan shape information, text font, and discussed the classification numbers of the Mongolia text shape meta data.Text font database management system is an important foundation for the construction work in Mongolia text graphic arts research and text font design and development. It can provide material of Mongolian font characteristics and rheological analysis from different years, between different versions around the world, and can provide theoretical guidance and reference for the innovative design of modern glyphs of the Mongolia character; and provide the efficient information retrieval convenient one-stop service of the relevant fields; forthermore, it might lead to a universal promising inter disciplinary research.The objective of this study was to establish meta data standards for the Mongolia character database theoretical basis. Wu Ying version of Mongolian ancient books regarded as a royal books dedicated and unique for the Qing Dynasty, which represents the highest level of the Mongolian ancient books. Using it as a template to establish the Mongolian word shape meta data classification numbering system, is an important content construction for the database of the Mongolian word font management system.
