The Study Of Aesthetic Category-"Q Xiang"

"Qi xiang" is one of the distinctive aesthetic categories in Chinense classicalaesthetics, which stretches for thousands of years without cease.And now it is still avery active aesthetic concept. Based on a lot of raw materials, this paper mainlyresearches on four issues:First,we dig out the the philosophical association of "Qi" and "Xiang",which canreveal the philosophical basis of the " Qi xiang "and show the relationship with theaesthetic implication of philosophical foundation;Secondly, through the methods of the concept’s history, based on the semanticanalysis,we tease out "Qi xiang" how from a common word to translate a aestheticcategory and the historical clue of further development and renewal;Once again,we compare "Qi xiang" with the relevant category of "Qi yun","Yijing"to further highlight its aesthetic characteristics;Finally,we analysis the historical function and modern value of "Qi xiang" indetail and evaluate its status of logic in Chinese classical aesthetics buildings.Because Chinese classical aesthetics is constructed by a series of importantcategories like "Qi xiang" as the paradigmatic.Therefore, through the investigationand study of "Qi xiang",we can glimpse of the organic Law of Chinese aestheticsfrom the origin to the development.Finally it can lay a solid foundation for theconstruction of Chinense classical aesthetics and Chinese classical aesthetics’ historywhich has its national character and a modern discipline property.
