The "Novel Revolution" literature will be surveyed from the new point of view of the vacillating modernity in this paper. In order to show the waver of Qichao Liang and the "Novel Revolution" in the reform and revolution, traditional and modern, Chinese and western, political and literary aesthetic, the paper will start with the Novel Revolution’s internal conflict and enlightenment of transformation, and the analysis of Qichao Liang and the Novel Revolution’s contradiction, conflict, adjustment and the later enlightenment transformation between the "contemporary" and "modernity". Through the above, on the one hand, we will observe the vacillating modernity and the history of succession in the process of its initiation process and even the entire Chinese modernity. On the other hand, we can peer the paradox in the Novel Revolution’s modern enlightenment process, and the historical inheritance and complexity in the Qing Dynasty’s enlightenment and the New Culture Movement in1919. Though the above, we hope to make more space for the Novel Revolution’s research on the basis of the previous research, and to dig out more research production of the "Novel Revolution" and the Chinese modernity construction in twentieth Century.
