The visual tracking and sustained attention across time and space are of great importance toThe cue used for visual tracking and fixing sustained attention across time and space are of great importance to both the field of visual and attention and to our daily life.2studies were conducted to investigate the effect that grouping effect of cuing, the way cue changed, and the interferences information it brought worked on dynamic tracking by multiple object tracking task, in order to realize the role of cue in dynamic tracking, and the processing strategies and differences between ordinary adults and basketball players.Study1, Aim, manipulate the consists of cuing as single feature and double feature, to detect the grouping effect of cue in MOT task and the differences occurred between ordinary adults and basketball players. Design, a two factor mixed design was employed, with the between group factor is the population (ordinary adults and athletes) and the within group factor is the type of cue task (single color and double color). The results was evaluated by the number one could track among6targets, and statistical analyzed by mixed repeated measures analysis of variance. Results, there was a significant main effect of task type, it demonstrate that both the2group perform better on single feature cue task than that with double features. There was also another significant main effect of group, that the basketball players perform worse than the other group on both the two tasks. No interactions was significant. Conclusion, it was difficult when feature of cue added, which indicate the effect of grouping on cues. Study2was addressed on the base of study1with2experiments in it. Their intents were to testify the differences lead by4types of cue and the characters of cue with interference information.Experiment1. Aim, to detect the effect of2types of cue left on the tracking task and its effect on different population. Design, a two factor mixed design was employed, with the between group factor is the population (ordinary adults and athletes) and the within group factor is the type of cue task (totally interchanged and totally unchanged). The results was evaluated by the number one could track among6targets, and statistical analyzed by mixed repeated measures analysis of variance. Results, there was a significant main effect of task type, the totally interchanged condition was significantly worse than those of-totally unchanged condition. The other main effect was also significant. The interaction of the two factors were not significant. Conclusion, the way cue changed may affect the tracking score, and the basketball players were more sensible on the feature of objects.Experiment2. Aim, to detect the effect of cue with interference information lay behind, and the depth of processing between the2groups. Design, a two factor mixed design was employed, with the between group factor is the population (ordinary adults and athletes) and the within group factor is the "A"&" a" task(totally interchanged and totally unchanged). The results was evaluated by the number one could track among6targets, and statistical analyzed by mixed repeated measures analysis of variance. Results, there was a significant main effect of task type, the totally interchanged condition was significantly worse than those of totally unchanged condition. The other main effect was also significant. The interaction of the two factors were edge significant. Conclusion, the change of cues can affect the track of different shape cues, and the basketball players harbored a more feature oriented cognitive processing. Study2suggested that the cue can be processed deeply, which may influence the two groups different as the basketball player may relied more on feature.Conclusion. The cue is of obvious Importance to the performance of MOT task. The dynamic changes, sharp and color were all in the process, and the number of feature is another efficiency factor. The results support the object file theory. And the basketball player pay much more attention to the feature and meaning of objects.
