The Effect Of Model Behaviour In Television Show On Children’s Helping Behaviour

As a great part of prosocial behavior, helping behavior is result of human’s socialization. Children’s helping behavior developts with their age. Today, television has become a new family. It decides how long the family to be together and what to do. Some people even take it as the baby-sitter. There have been a number of research done about the effect of violent TV shows on children.It is clear that children will get aggressive after watching violent TV shows. So how about prosocial shows?This research chosed634pupils and distributed them to two groups:one for experiment and the other one for control. When there are sufiicient subjects,the results showed that:(1) In general, the level of helping behavior in terms of sex variables, there was a significant difference in performance. Furthermore, girls had a significant better performance than boys on helping behavior.(2)Subjects performanced significant in different groups. Not as surposed.The control group performance better than the experiment ones.(3) Children in agreeableness test satisfied with sex and condition variables there is no significant differences.(4) There is a interaction effect between sex and condition variables.
