The rapid development of globalization offers the cultural communication among all countries a platform, which makes the interaction in politics, economies, and culture have great impacts. The American movies that have strong economic strength and are supported by U.S. government result in successfully making other countries’people accept and appreciate the U.S. lifestyle, culture and values due to the fantastic screen effects. The American movies have cooperated with the U.S. government and have become an excellent media in cultural communication with other countries, for more than a hundred years. The film industry ranks only second to aircraft industry in the United States, so it is a significant industry in the equilibrium of the trade balance and the main revenue sources for U.S. government. The American movies not only contribute huge profits to the U.S., but also improve the U.S. soft power and national image. When the American movies showed on all the others’countries, these movies give the American culture and values to all these countries audience, which help promote the influence and voice of the United States. As a famous American film company, the Walt Disney Company wrap the American Dream in the romantic, inspirational stories of Disney movies that make other countries’culture yield to culture of the United States. Disney as an excellent aide greatly make the U.S. government at the advantageous position in the fierce international competition, especially the competition of comprehensive national strength. The American movies have become the ambassador of diplomacy and national image in reality as well in name:the American movies are the communication media during the First World War, the Second World War, and the U.S.-Soviet Cold-War; they are also the cultural weapons for cultural infiltration in the peacetime. The writing aim of this paper is getting the reasons why Chinese movies have limited influence in Chinese culture "Going Out"and making personal suggestion by analyzing the reasons that the American movies could successfully get American culture and values out. The basic contents of this paper are the analysis of the history, theories, and ideological roots of the relations between American movies and American cultural communication with other countries, the study on how Disney movies perfectly express American culture and the American Dream, and the proposal that how Chinese movies help Chinese culture "Going Out" in the future. The innovation of this thesis is to find the deep reasons why Chinese movies’impact is limited in Chinese culture "Going Out" by comparing Disney Company and Chinese film industry. Since Chinese culture has met lots of problems and lacks of experience of cultural communication with other countries, China film industry could get many useful lessons from the American movies’method in order to promote Chinese culture "Going Out", which would be meaningful and helpful for both the advance of Chinese comprehensive national power and the realization of the Chinese Dream. Although American movies successfully help the U.S. Government, there are still differences between American and Chinese national conditions. The Chinese Dream is the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation, but the American Dream is to lead the world as the world police. If we learn all the experiences of American movies without altering, Chinese culture would become the capture of American culture. So in learning how American movies communicate their culture and the American Dream with other countries, Chinese film industry should pay attention to combine the foreign experiences with Chinese culture and present national conditions. Chinese movies have thousands years of historic and cultural resources, and huge domestic markets, so Chinese movies have sufficient conditions and capabilities in becoming the useful tool in Chinese cultural communication with other countries. The success of Chinese movies "Going Out" in overseas countries and areas would help improve Chinese national influence and image, boost Chinese culture "Going Out", and achieve the Chinese Dream.
