The Design Method Of Combining Enamel With Other Materials

The production of enamel has hundreds of years of history. Due to its magnificent colors,thick and sumptuous texture, it has not only found wide applications in the production ofjewelries and other products, but also served as a finishing point to the design work. In view ofthe issue that the applications of enamel are narrow and its design methods and texture arelimited by traditional patterns and styles, thus making it hard to fully demonstrate its social andeconomic value, this paper explores methods about how to combine enamel well with othermaterials for innovational design. This paper mainly discusses from six perspectives. First, thispaper gives a brief introduction of the origin and development of enamel and its application tothe modern designs and explores potential breakthroughs to be made about its design methods.Second, this paper expounds the classification of enamel and introduces, analyzes andsummarizes the decorative characteristics of enamel in terms of modeling, colors and patterns.Third, the author analyzes the excellent works in terms of the combination of enamel withdifferent metals, enamel with gem mounting, enamel with wood products and enamel withother materials to explore the feasibility of the author’s graduation work design. Fourth, thispaper comprehensively analyzes the property of enamel products, further expounds how tomake breakthroughs in modern enamel product design and shows development prospects inthis field. Finally, this paper summarizes the whole research.
