Taosi Culture is an important part of the prehistoric culture of the Yellow River basin,and Taosi site of Linfen county of Shanxi province is a typical representative of it.The found historical relics were varietally and completely,not only included the common stone production tools of the prehistoric burial,delicate and beautiful pottery,the mystery of the jade,but also found and carried out a group of painted wood specimens of Longshan Culture ear.Although they were not first time to see the similar specimens in our country,but they were the earliest wood specimens ever see in the central plains till now.Regardless of its type, number and specification,the high standard of painted wood specimens was rare to see in our country.Years of experience in the field of archaeology Provided a detailed,normative and professional help for scientifically acquire and research them.And enable us to reappear the original craft form thousands of years ago,more clearly to know the specimens’unearthed position,characteristics of the age and the composition relationship.I tried best way to exploit the rich archaeological data and read research-results for reference,to study the painted wood specimens of Taosi Culture to know:all of the specimens as burial objects were found with lots of potterysjadewares,stonewares,bone objects in medium and large-scale tomb.In the specimens’species,numbers,combinations and the technology,they were not foil but necessities,not appurtenances but worthy as burial objects.In the meantime,I will in combination with arranging and merging the data and materials, referencing Other early culture’s information, to discuss the specimens’making and decoration,and search the origin of the lacquer wares of the central plains.As an important sacrificial vessels,the painted wood specimens participated in the sacrificial ceremony and funeral ceremony,and it has an important meaning and function in the social life of the time.To the funeral customs of the noblemen’tombs with the lacquer wares in Shang dynasty and Zhou dynasty, the specimens’appearance had a profound effect.The specimens as a origin of lacquer wares,had a significative of influence to Ritual system.
