Research On Three Ways Of Realizing Aesthetic Design

In modern society, there are abundant materials, but ugly objects always exist which are not pleasurable. So, studying this topic is to change these phenomena. Thus, determining the appearances of products should be put in the first place of creating objects in order to change present state. Beautiful objects can improve the quality of people’s lives. People can release pressure from work by using the products.Every designer also focuses on how to realize beautiful design. The author raises a point that beautiful design depends on unity of rationality and sensibility. Meanwhile, it can be achieved by three ways. The first one is to use the theory of harmonious design elements. The second one is perceptual involvement mentioned in significant form which was created by Bell. The third is the applications of symbolic design. That is injecting original cultural meanings with symbol and communicating meanings indirectly, which can create much beauty. Finally, the methods above are proved appropriate and valid by case study.
