Revises On The Oracle Bones Of Shanghai Museum (Part One)

Oracle Bone of Shanghai Museum(Shanghai Bo Wu Guan Cang Jia Gu Wen Zi）was divided into two volumes published by Shanghai Lexicographical PublishingHouse in2009.This article is mainly about the revision of its first volume whichrecords2596oracle bone rubbings.The content of this article includes the following sections:First is the preface part. It briefly introduces the rubbings’ descriptions of OracleBones of Shanghai Museum and the significance of its publishment along with therelated research situation. We also give a sketch of our revision’s range and thespecific case of some revise work.Chapter one is the correction on elucidates texts. We use the common referencebooks of elucidates texts and the latest research results about the words interpretationand the assemblage of oracle bone inscription fragments to modify the collection ofOracle Bones of Shanghai Museum(part one),rectifying the mistakes andincompletions.Chapter two is about the rubbings’ printing effect evaluation between OracleBones of Shanghai Museum(part one) and Collection of Research on Bone ShellInscriptions. The comparison is mainly from the perspectives of texts’ sharpness andrubbings’integrity.The appendix part includes three parts. The first appendix is a chart about themain descriptions of Oracle Bones of Shanghai Museum(part one).The second is aindex list on the recording numbers of Collection of Research on Bone ShellInscriptions. Last is a chart collecting the groups of oracle bone rejoining in theOracle Bones of Shanghai Museum(part one).
