The Contemporary Significance Of "Species Philosophy"

Gao Qinghai professor is one of the most representative contemporaryphilosopher in China.,“Species Philosophy”is his main philosophy. This article basedon the thinking of Mr. Gao’s later thoughts，repeatedly thinks the philosophicalproblems that he stated. I would like to understand Species Philosophy’s theoreticalsignificance to the contemporary society through revealing Species philosophy’sprofound meaning. When Gao Qinghai professor talked about the reasons for puttingforward “Species Philosophy”, he said:“I have been thinking about “Species” for along time, Why? It is caused by the thinking of "Man", including, of course, the manin reality, history and academics, etc. It is precisely because that "Species Philosophy"is about the real people and their lives, and thinks about the contemporary reality,theoretical dilemma, it has a certain practical significance and value.This paper is divided into three parts. The first part mainly introduces why GaoQinghai professor putted forward the "Species Philosophy" problem. When GaoQinghai professor putted forward the "Species Philosophy", there were manyquestions in the academic circle. Some scholars have criticized that Gao Qinghaiprofessor tried to use his abstract "Species Philosophy" theory to solve all theproblems of contemporary. Therefore they criticized that the "Species Philosophy"was a fantasy and idealism divorced from the reality, which deviated from Marx’s ideaof Dialectical Materialism. This is because that they have misunderstood the originalintention of Gao Qinghai professor and the real value of his theory. The reason thatGao Qinghai professor putted forward the “Species Philosophy” is: First, thinking ofhuman nature was his logic starting point, he took the human nature as beyond thephysical, and beyond life existence.“Space Life” is the ultimate value of life. ThenWe can only according to man’s way to understand human’s nature. It is philosophy.Second, The deeply thinking of the relationship between philosophy and human. In his opinion, philosophy and human are interwoven, they need interpret each other.Man is a special existence, there are multiple ways to understand man, onlyphilosophy can grasp the real nature of human. Fundamentally speaking, philosophyis man’s self consciousness theory, the history of philosophy is the history of thedevelopment of human. Thirdly, the thinking of the development of Marx’sphilosophy in Contemporary."Species Philosophy" is the development of Marx’sPhilosophy.The second part of the paper try to expound the “Species Philosophy” throughseveral couples of critical concepts. First,"Species Life" and "Kind of Life"."Species", which is human’s creation, is the essence of "human life"."Kind of " isthe essence of "material life ". They are unified in human individual life. A lot ofquestions about "Species Philosophy" are the expansion around the relationshipbetween "Species Life" and "Kind of Life". This is the key to understand "SpeciesPhilosophy". Second,"Physical Logic" and "Human Logic". Gao Qinghai professorthought that using "Physical Logic" to understand people would cause the losing ofhumanity which is one of the modern problems we face. Gao Qinghai professor’s"Species Philosophy" is inherited from Marx’s "Human Logic", it is the reconstructionof Marx’s "Human Logic". It lays the theoretical foundation for the theory of value.Third, in Gao Qinghai professor’s view, the meaning of philosophy was different, thephilosophy is a kind of academic activities that makes people to be themselves. Hethought the world view was people’s understanding of the world, the way and theattitude people treating things, people’s yearning and pursuit of the ideal realm of life.Philosophy is the knowledge that to guide people to be a real man. So his "SpeciesPhilosophy" would like to be the foundation of the theory of value.The third part is about the feasibility significance of Gao Qinghai professor’s"Species Philosophy". Gao Qingha professor’s philosophy is not the castles in the airdivorced from reality, his thinking had always been closely linked to Chinese Society.In his opinion, human is in transition from “Individual Standard” to “SpeciesStandard” in the contemporary. Therefore, all the practical problems such as thealienation of man, conflicts between different civilizations, ecological crisis etc. human facing are associated with the characteristics of the times. So, the only way tosolve these problems is to establish the “Species Standard” of human. As a sociallyresponsible philosopher, he putted the establishment of our own nationalityphilosophy as his mission. He said:"Basically, all the real problem is the problem ofthe theory ". Now Chinese development urgently need the support of theory,"SpeciesPhilosophy" is putted forward in such condition. Therefore, it can be said that the"Species Philosophy" is the philosophical theory belonging to the contemporaryChinese.
