As the heating-up of “China boom” all over the world and the increasing of the number ofinternational students to China, the quantity of research monograph is increasing in the field ofteaching Chinese as a second language at home such as researching Chinese teacher’s teaching,researching international students’ learning at class and out of class, researching the compilingand innovation about Chinese teaching material, researching how to improve internationalstudents all kinds of skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. In my opinion, the studyabout “the usage of Chinese reading resource for international students in target languageenvironment” is far from enough in the filed of reading. The target language environment itself isa kind of reading resource, international students come to study Chinese whether or not activethe advantage of the target language environment, whether or not realized the importance ofreading to Chinese learning and whether or not make the most of the Chinese reading resource inthe target language environment is the direction of this paper. In the article, we demonstrate theimportance of the Chinese reading by using spss20.0software to analyze HSK grades ofintermediate international students and we invest the intermediate international students’ readingcondition in the target language environment by questionnaire, also we supplement theinvestigation result by interview method and field trip. On this basis, the thesis tries to analyzethe problems using Chinese reading resources for international students in China, and targetedputs forward some countermeasures and Suggestions, hoping to strengthen their awareness andenhance their interest in the use of Chinese reading resources; hoping to improve the efficiencyof the use of Chinese reading resources, thus improving their reading ability and enhance thelevel of Chinese.
