Elfriede Jelinek (born 20 October 1946) is an Austrian writer. People criticize her novels because her novels boldly describe sex, fill with the despair and analyze the dark side of two sexes. Jelinek not only care for female, boldly reveal male and female relation and sex, but also use a pen as a sword to open up the field to describe the reality of female situation. This thesis selects the five novels of Jelinek’s creations in the 1970s and 1980s as the research texts: The Piano Teacher (Die Klavierspielerin), Wonderful, Wonderful Times (Die Ausgesperrten), Oh Wildnis, (Oh Wildnis, Oh stripes vor is ihr), Lust, Women as Lovers (Die Liebhaberinnen), and explore on women’s writing in Jelinek’s novels.The first part of thesis is Jelinek how to stand in the position of female to interpret the male image. In Jelinek’s novels, they describe the absence of male and sacralize them in spirit. There is no plot of praising male authority and the tall image. By spiritual alienation and the image to demonize and murders the invisible target of traditional patriarchal of rule and patriarchal society, and writing about the gender disenchantment. Jelinek use disenchantment of the male in women’s writing, it shows the female rebellion the intention of the patriarchal in the text, and then to construct the female subject.The second part discusses Jelinek how to writing female trouble. Jelinek puts on in the center of the text and hold hidden in the edge of the women by the gender disenchantment. Under this narrative, through the growth of the female plight and sex plight to write female plight.In the third part, it will be discussed of the value of women’s writing in Elfriede Jelinek’s novels from two aspects. On the one hand, it is about the ethic value in her novels. Through the complex ethical relationship in the novel, the thesis will analyze the value of Jelinek’s novels in perspective of literary ethics. On the other hand, its about the aesthetic value of the novels. Violence aesthetics in the aesthetic value, it includes:sexual abuse, self abuse and so on. Elfriede Jelinek can not find a way to go out for woman who are in trouble:Elfriede Jelinek discovered that the women were in trouble in her novels, but these women only stay in such a state without rescued them from it out.The conclusion part summarizes the unique significance of Jelinek’s women’s writing, and limitations in the application feminist theory to analysis Jelinek’s novels in the academic. How to evaluate the value of Jelinek’s novels, whether to meet woman’s demands should be reflected on this question. From two aspects, objective evaluation is the correct reflection and speculative the value of women’s writing.
