Design And Implementation Of Digital Protection Platform About Chinese Paper-cut Culture

In recent years, the topic about digital protection of non-material cultural heritage (NCH) has got the attention of various countries around the world. As a cultural superpower, China is also promoting the process of NCH digital protection gradually. Through the study of related literature, this paper gives full consideration to the characteristics of Chinese paper-cut culture (CPC) and puts forward the design principles, objectives and system architecture of the digital protection platform. With the description of this platform’s system structure and functional characteristics, we mainly implemented the multimedia application system with mobile app development technology. The main work of this paper is as follows:① We mostly discussed the study background (including study status in domestic and overseas), the contents, the values and the meanings of this study.② On the basis of theoretical research, we discussed the principles of CPC protection:static protection combined with living inheritance; people-oriented protection; innovative design with information technology; cultural space’s representation; "open" creation experience and culture spread. We summarized that conforming to CPC’s expression and spread model is the platform’s design objective. Under the guidance of the design principle and objective, we put forward the system architecture.③ On the basis of the system architecture, we analyzed the procedures of CPC digital protection and emphatically described the detail design of multimedia communication application subsystem and multi-level classification retrieval and sharing subsystem.④ To test and verify the rationality and practicability, we implemented multimedia application system with mobile App development technology.
