Practical writing course is a course for teaching overseas students practical writing which opened by undergraduate colleges. There is a problem of domestic undergraduate college writing courses as a Foreign Language: Class Teaching often use “product approach” that teachers are given essay, according to the essay students imitate and fill. This teaching method ignores the difficulties of writing course and students’ psychological state. This paper proposed practical writing course can use teaching methods of "Process Approach", student-centered, allow students to write creative practical writing. This paper discusses the use of "Product Approach" and the use of "Process Approach” in writing class for students and teachers in terms of what are the advantages and disadvantages. Understanding the views of students and teachers through questionnaires in order to improve the quality and efficiency of writing courses and students’ writing skills.
