Translation Of Borrowed Words In Japanese For Science And Technoloy

Language serves as the carrier of culture and the tool of social development. Borrowed words form an important part of Japanese lexicons, especially in Japanese scientific literature. During the process of translation, how to accurately understand the borrowed words and how to select the corresponding target words in Chinese have brought great challenges to Chinese scholars.This paper takes "the manufacture and use of petroleum chemicals "as an example to conduct the research in terms of the definition, the origination, the characteristics and the problems of borrowed words.
