"Wins Dream Language Strings Love"-Degree Graduation Project Concert

The erhu is one of the main string instruments of national musical instrument family, has been one thousand years of history.I have been learned and practiced erhu nearly 20 years from 1995. Passed the China Conservatory of Music postgraduate exams, I come back to study in 2012. Under the guidance of Mr. Cao Dewei and Mrs. Huang Xiaofei, I gradually form my own understanding, characteristics and style for the erhu playing techniques, the characteristics of the instruments, music and performing skills.I am a native in Hunan. And I have been Beijing for about ten years in order to pursue a career and my own life. For the dream of music, I came to Beijing from Changsha. I have a deep attachment to my hometown, and there is full of hope in Beijing. I am missing the past time endlessly, and also have the yearning for the future. I put these all in my instruments and my music.I selected two kinds music of local characteristics of the two cities. I wish the audience could focus on two different music elements. In the two part of my concert works, it reflects the Huxiang culture and the Beijing culture of each color also. This is not only my own love for the two cities, but also the theme of the concert, "Dream of Two Cities, Feeling of Two Strings".To performance the theme of the concert, I selected four types of music which could display the tradition, the skill, large works and styles. It is difficult to grasp the works of eight different styles and different sizes. According to the size, the style, the music features and the whole paragraph layout mode, I must try to prominent features of each much not only, but also to grasp the feeling from the style of music. In order to express their meaning fully, I need to complete the basic playing skills and work requirements. In addition, I must understand the composer’s creative ideas and intentions, accurately grasp the connotation and style, especially to grasp the relationship between the regional style and the overall style of music. And I try to play the music with reasonable strength and speed.It is a great challenge for me to play this concert. I’m nervous and enjoy the feeling of progress in such a challenge.
