Under the promotion of economic transformation in Shanxi and tendency towards the sustainable development, a large number of cities in Shanxi have put establishing cultural brand to make culture industry forward for being the developing aims and set the characteristic of folk custom culture that the aims includes as key project to work. Attributed to the cultural resources of Jinzhong city, Shahuo Festival in Jinzhong has been one of cultural brands in Jinzhong after more than 10 years growing and at the forefront of the folk cultural branding of the whole province.However, Jinzhong Shehuo Festival has exposed some developing problems along the development of the folk tourism industry and the change of market demand. Because of that, the author put the orientation of researching to brand expanding of Jinzhong Shehuo Festival, analysing the problems which are faced, the prospects and proposed the corresponding countermeasures of events planning, communication strategies and the specific design practices, etc..Core part of this article involving three aspects. The first part, analyzed the history and development prospects of Jinzhong Shehuo Festival. The second part, analyzed the core of Jinzhong Shehuo culture and refine the results. And the third part, put the mentioned writing materials of Jinzhong Shehuo culture into creative compiling. Particularly, it has been divided into 4 parts which are the overall planning, selection and performance of the method main visual elements, the performance of new media design and tapping creative ideas. The final purpose of this study is that, not only the ancient national form of custom Jinzhong Shehuo efficiently to preserve and spread out to the next generation, but also with the analysis on the current situation of Jinzhong Shehuo festival as well as it’s design praxis, the cultural resource of Jinzhong city’s folk custom could also reach a deeper exposition, which in other hand would effectively lead to a wider acknowledgement as well as a enhanced approval towards Jinzhong city’s traditional custom as cultural brands. There is hope to help Jinzhong city actively integrate its building and developing strategies on cultural brand-polishing to the cultural development so as to the economic restructuring of Shangxi Province at the same time, which would provide enormous initiative and power to the cultural and economic construction of Jinzhong city.
