Intentional self-regulation is a key position in positive development of adolescences.Intentional self-regulations are contextualized actions that are actively aimed towards harmonizing demands and resources in the context with personal goals in order to attain better functioning and to enhance self-development. Many activities have been shown to promote intentional self –regulation indirectly, while a few of activities can directly promote it. That’s why Lerner and Bowers try to find a way to promote intentional self-regulation directly in 2012. Based on selection, optimization, compensation theory, they design GPS program-----Goal selection, pursuit of strategy, shifting gears. There are some shortages of GPS.first, the details of selection, optimization and compensation is taught in order, that can’t match what happened really in adolescence’s life. Second, they uses lots of metaphor in GPS, some of them are useless.Aiming at the limits of these two aspects, I make some changes in The curriculum, teaching form. first, the curriculum could come up with the real life of adolescence.Second, extend the application scope of course.I took fresh men as examinee, I set up two groups, one is intervention group, the other one is control group. It took 10 hours to teach experimental group adapted GPS project. The control group didn’t do anything. The results reveals that: 1,the score of intentional self-regulation of intervention group was significantly higher;2, on the intentional self-regulation component dimensions, the optimization and compensation of intervention group had significant promotion, while the control group had nothing different in three dimensions;3,the influence of the adapted GPS in the completion of the goal of intervention group and control group was not obvious;4,the adolescence in intervention group were received multiple aspects of active classroom experience, especially enhance the contact with families, and contact with the two teachers and other adults.
