As global culture has become more prosperous ever,the constructive methods of comprehensive materials painting have begun converting to such ones as inform ation materialization and information visualization. For a long time, people alway s either give prominence to the structure of visual elements, for example spots, li nes, planes and masses, or pay most of their attention to the composing of three dimensional elements, which, as a whole, leads to the vapidness of the form of t he works and the separation of the form and inherence. However, with the help of colors, lines, proportion and so on, painters express their thoughts, convey thei r sentiments and the internal attributes of their works, which, finally, creates fine works combining subjective minds and objective realities.This article begins with delineating the historical development of comprehensive materials painting, then analyzes the arrangement and composition of contempor ary comprehensive materials painting and explores its composing features and th e reasons that lead to its appearance. And the article’s idea is that the composin g and presenting means of contemporary comprehensive materials painting after the 20 th century tend to be diverse, of which arrangement, a distinctive composin g method, is independent with and constrains the contents. The accidental, objec tiveness and recording of comprehensive materials painting have become more and more obvious, indicating the very significance of arrangement in it.
