Study On Tibetan Phrases In The Corpus Of 《The Body Tales》

To be a prerequisite for the computors to reconize the Tibetan phrases is based on human beings undertand the grammar rules of Tibetan pharses. Then these rules depend on how to extract and analyze in real corpus among Tibetan phrases.The preface and eleven short stories from Tibetan classic folk literature of <<The Body Tales>> are as my corpus. Firstly, I used professor Duo La’s speech tagging to tag the corpus. Then selected Tibetan sentences applied immediate constituents to bracket the Tibetan phrases by hand.There are 7777 Tibetan phrases in this preface and eleven short stories. Those Tibetan phrases devided in nine categrories. They are noun phrases, verb phrases, adjective phrases, numeral phrases, adverbial phrases, time-phrases, special phrases, proverbs, and idioms. From the six aspects, measurement, model, internal structrure, external structure, syntactic, and semantic roles, to analyze those phrases. Finally, set up information databases of Tibetan phrases, actually that is the research results.The information databases include 1657 noun phrases, incording to the model can be devided in six categrories, incording to the interna structure can be devided in seven categrories, incording to external structure can be noun phrases and pure noun phrases, those phrases in a sentence can be subject and object; 4270 verb phrases, incording to the model can be devided in five categrories, incording to the interna structure can be devided in five categrories, incording to external structure can be verb phrases and pure verb phrases, those phrases in a sentence can be verb; 347 adjective phrases, incording to the model can be devided in eight categrories, incording to the interna structure can be devided in six categrories, incording to external structure can be noun phrases, verb phrases and adjective phrases, those phrases in a sentence can be subject,verb and object; 565 numeral phrases, incording to the model can be devided in six categrories, incording to the interna structure can be devided in two categrories, incording to external structure can be noun phrases and numeral phrases; 287 adverbial phrases, incording to the model can be devided in eight categrories, incording to the interna structure can be devided in two categrories, those phrases in a sentence can be modifier; 287 adverb phrases, incording to the model can be devided in eight categrories, incording to the interna structure can be devided in two categrories, those phrases in a sentence can be modifier; 316 time phrases, incording to the model can be devided in ten categrories, incording to the interna structure can be devided in three categrories, those phrases in a sentence can be time modifier; 201 time phrases, incording to the model can be devided in four categrories; 26 proverbs, and 27idioms.
