| In Song dynasty, Huang Tang, the officer of Zhejiang Tea & Salt Department, was in charge of the inscribing of Rites Notation,70 volumes, the book was the first Block-printed edition of Thirteen Classics Notation, Jing, zhu, shu altogether. After Pan Zongzhou bought this book, he asked Zhang Yuanji to write Collation of Rites Notation, comparing Ruan Yuan’s Rites Notation edition. Through my study about the author, content, style and so on, this article solved the following problems:firstly, the author of Collation of Rites Notation is Zhang Yuanji, although the book didn’t refer to him, but we cannot ignore his contributions to the book. Secondly, the book was printed twice, first time was in 1928, second time was in 1986,printed by Guang Lin publishing house. According to my comparison, the overall quality is not as good as this 1928 reprint. Thirdly, the article pointed out the shortcomings of Collation of Rites Notation, such as less reference versions, leakage of collation, preference for versions of Song dynasty. and so on. Fourthly, we made a list according to relevant records and the content, then arrived at the conclusion that there were differences among the three versions of Song dynasty, and we corrected the idea that Hui Dong’s version is from Bei Song. In addition, the appendix of the article contains Collation of Rites Notation with Punctuation, for the convenient of the academic circles. |
