As the highest form of western polyphonic counterpoint technique, Fugue centrally embodies the creative thinking of western polyphonic music, fugue was fully developed during the 13th century to the middle of the 18th century, which established a final form that changed from early unconsciousness to consciousness. During that period the development of Fugue and the improvement of technology not only reflect the technical principle and artistic nature under the rational logical thinking of western country, but also embody a high consistency of ideology and music technology.This article focuses on the Fugue art history development during the 13 to 18 century, which based on the comprehensive analysis that including historic morphology, technical features and ideology, and explores the essential relationship in ideology, morphology and technology. The main content of this article is divided into the three parts.First,"the historical evolution of the fugue morphology". This section introduces the historical morphology and the historical evolution of Fugue art during the 13th to the middle of 18th century. The author discusses in two aspects:historical interpretation and music morphology. Based on integrated and comprehensive perspective, the historical interpretation elaborates the development process of historical Fugue Art. While based on concreted and created perspective, the music morphology analyzes the morphological characteristics of historical fugue art.Second, "The features and functional significance of Fugue Art". This section describes technology analysis of classical baroque Fugue principles. The part focuses on general and essential technology method rather than unique morphing technology. The author has a in-deep study that the whole Fugue art structure embodies the functional significance of structure.Third, "the cultural reflection of western literary thoughts and fugue art ". This section details the formation and replacement of cognitive style and ideology during the 13th to the middle of 18th century that based on the brief introduction of social cultural background, and also analyzes the significance of the concept of music, music morphology and technology method and explores the consistency of ideology, morphology and technology.
