Public art, as an important regional symbol, is summarized from the culture of a region or a city. Nowadays, the using of glass materials becomes a new expression of public art. The motivation, the significance even the presentation of the creation of the glass art distinguish themselves greatly from the personal art for the artists.This article focuses on the process of creating of the glass public art "The Dreamland of Lotus Pond", which is presented on the West Lake Culture Square, analyses both regionality and interactionality of the art from a point of subjective view of the artist. The differences of creation methods between public glass art and personal art are emphasized in this thesis. Last but not least, aresearchful thinking is conducted about the analysis of this piece of art, the interaction with the public and changes to the environment in form of questionnaires. |
