In contemporary art, artists reinterpreted the language of form and materials in the paintings by the way of ‘Dismantling’ and‘reconstruction’, as well as the language of Chinese traditional culture. The author took this as a clue to do research on Wang Huaiqing chair works. Wang Huaiqing is a famous contemporary Chinese painter. His paintings contain a lot of traditional Chinese cultural factors, and his chair works are typical of his many works, which embodied many specific characteristics of traditional culture. Chair, as a separate topic appears in a painting, although Wang Huaiqing chair works were not painted figures, the chairs works reflected humanistic care and consideration.Wang Huaiqing has drew chair works for 20 years. Till now, there have been a lot of changes in paintings. It is the exploration of form and materials,distinctive and unique.The author will show her research from three parts. They are‘ The changing identity of a chair in the paintings of masters in history, Humane care from Wang Huaiqing chair works and his creative works of different periods’.
