Singing is not only relying on the skill and beautiful voice, but also understanding the artistic conception of lyrics and thoughts and feelings expressed by songs. So before the concert, singer must carry on the careful analysis to the whole song, including songwriter, creative background, lyrics, melody, in order to make the recreation of the song. Prairie in July, by lyricist Song Binting and composer Shang Deyi, is a very Xinjiang ethnic style of the coloratura songs, widely spread in recent years, and has been selected into a variety of vocal teaching textbooks. As one of the representative Chinese style coloratura songs, it is suitable both for the Chinese singing style and bel canto. Prairie in July is a coloratura song describing scenery and expressing feeling, with vivid image, poetic sense and clear picture.This dissertation aims at analyzing the song from the angle of language expressions, melody techniques and concert performances, striving to grasp the style, content, feeling and articulation details while singing and expecting to perfect embodiment of artistic charm of the song.This dissertation mainly discusses the following parts:The preface briefly introduces the song and composer Shang Deyi.In the first part, the lyrics of Prairie in July is analyzed from the perspective of literary and text. It is the innovation of this topic.In the second part, melody, techniques of composition and piano accompaniment of the song are illustrated by examples, examples analysis and audio-visual materials, for the groundwork preparation of singing.In the third part, the aspects of the method of singing, emotion processing is explored and the corresponding point of view is present. It is the key part of this dissertation.The fourth part is the conclusion.
