A Current Study Of Longyin Town’s Da Hua Miao Of Pu An County In Southwest Parts Of Guizhou Province

Da Hua Miao,which belongs to Longyin town, Pu An county of Guizhou province, is an old migrative people.The Miao people created their traditional music during long term’s labouring and daily life,they use music to express emotion and feeling, as well as delivering information.More than one hundred years ago,the British missionary Samuel pollard came to Weining Shimen--the border of Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan.Together with the native Miao people,he created the pollard Miao language and pollard in miao language music notation recording, and from the on,Da Hua Miao’s music culture began to develop and inherit under the affect of nationality and Christianity.The author of this thesis will illustrate the study from the following aspects:The Introduction first epitomize background and study meaning of Longyin Da Hua Miao,then analyse current research and expand thought clue.Chapter one, which includes seven parts mainly discusses the music cultural environment of Longyin Da Hua Miao.The content will refer to physical geography, ethnic source and historical changes, language and script, national costume,the marriage and funeral custom,national costumes,religions and so on.Chapter two starts from the types of Longyin Da Hua Miao’music to analyse its traditional old songs and hymns for the Lord. And then through expounding its Singing form and common instruments, the author will get readers to learn about the music forms of this people’s.Taking Da Hua Miao’music artistic form as the subject,Chapter three lists some musical Music recording,artistic form of songs and traditional instruments,to furtherly research its current situation.Chapter four is the author’s unscramble to Da Hua Miao’ musical culture.
