This study tries to analyze the God-People relation and its dynamic change in Bible (New Revised Standard Version) from the cognitive metaphorical perspective by qualitative analysis. This study, firstly, based on Steen’s five-step procedure, had identified all the conceptual metaphors of God-People relation. Secondly, we had categorized the source domains so that the main types of God-People metaphors could have been found. Thirdly, a thorough analysis and a detailed explanation had been presented on how the author of Bible conveys God-People relation through the conceptual metaphors. Based on this step, we had concluded the main types of God-People relationship. Moreover, the dynamic change on the God-People relation had also been analyzed. The research found out that there are six major types of God-People metaphors: "King-People" metaphor, "Shepherd-Flock" metaphor, "Father-Son" metaphor, "Bridegroom-Bride" metaphor, "Body-Member" Metaphor and "Vine-Branch" metaphor. They altogether illustrate three types of God-People relation: monarch-subject relationship, family member relationship and subordination relationship. What’s more, the transfer from the dominance of the monarch-subject relationship to the equal distribution of the three relationships is proved to be a general feature of the dynamic changes in God-People relation.
