Franz Liszt is one of the outstanding representatives of the romantic period in the field of music,With his very personal color creation and exaggeration, free performance, became the leader of the European music, he also left a precious musical wealth for the human society.The “Piano Concerto No.1”as the first piano concerto written by Liszt, plays an important role in his music career.The creation and revision of the whole work lasted for more than20 years, which spanned several periods of Liszt’s music creation career, and accumulated the artistic pursuit and desire of Liszt’s almost life. The author in the process of playing this piece of work, in order to accurately grasp the characteristics of Liszt’s works, collected a large number of older players to listen to the play version, hoping to learn from the experience. It is in the process of the various versions of the same or different characteristics were found,so the decision to increase the perceptual experience for rational thinking, and record, to provide guidance for practice.The author choose the Sviatoslav Teofilovich Richter,Gyorgy Cziffra, Martha Argerich, Yundi Li and Lang Lang to compare their performance of commonness and individuality. Inorder to find out some of the special laws and rules in their performance, and to guide the practice of playing and teaching.This paper is divided into four main parts: The first part is the introduction, which explains the background of the selected topic, the research status of the topic and the theoretical and practical significance of the topic. The second part will outline Liszt’s “Piano Concerto No.1”, a brief introduction to Liszt and his “Piano Concerto No.1”, as well as the major audio versions of this work.In the third part, the author will elaborate the commonness and individuality of the five players in the aspects of speed, dynamics, tone and performance style. The fourth part is the application of the comparative study in performance and teaching.I hope that through this study, the majority of music lovers in music performances, piano playing, teaching, and the performance version of the appreciation will have a reference.Especially for those who are studying Liszt’s “piano concerto No.1” can get a more comprehensive understanding and understanding through this paper.
