The group of emperor’s son-in-law is an important ruling class in China’s imperial era. It has different degrees of effect to political evolution in the past dynasties. Liao Dynasty was established by the northern Qidan nationality, the birth,selection, promotion and transition of emperor’s son-in-law are different from the Central Plains Dynasty. It reflects the characteristic of nomadic people. This article which studies this group based on the results of previous studies, from the perspective of the group of emperor’s son-in-law made a detailed discussion. It has an important significance for overall grasping the venation of the development of Liao Dynasty,ethnic fusion process, the family strength evolution and part of the official’s change.The introduction of this paper mainly based on the research object, research ideas, research status quo and the article innovation, four parts to discuss, to lay the foundation of writing the article.The first chapter analysis the ethnic composition of emperor’s son-in-law group.The historical data shows there are 43 emperor’s son-in-laws in accordance with the requirements. The Qidan nationality 37, Han nationality 4, Xi nationality 1, Bohai nationality 1. This part of made a detailed exposition to alien emperor’s son-in-law except Qidan nationality, focus on the current situation deduction and the history of the ruling policy as the breakthrough point analysis of the data. So to analyze the reason why emperor’s son-in-law group has ethnic composition difference in different periods, the purposes of emperor married Princess to alien upper political and the political effect to achieve.The second chapter discusses the emperor’s son-in-law’s family background.After analysis the historical data I found that the emperor’s son-in-law in Liao Dynasty basically from the aristocratic families, I made the brief introduction of the various nationalities of the emperor’s son-in-law’s family, especially analysis the family background of the Qidan queen. There are 37 Qidan emperor’s son-in-law.10 can not test their family lineage, 27 are from their uncle’s family. 11 of them fromex-husband of queen Chunqing’s mother family. 16 of them from queen Chunqing’s father family. Only in view of emperor’s son-in-law, of the family lineage has relatively consistency in different periods. At the early period they from mother’s ex-husband of family. Sheng & Jing dynasties is the transition period, At the latter period from they from father’s family. I Analysis the way of this kind of phenomenon of clans ups and downs, and to explore the causes of the rise and fall of the changes,and summarizes the characteristics in the family of the emperor’s son-in-law.The third chapter introduces the emperor’s son-in-law’s official component.Awarding the Prince Consort Commandery is a determination of the identity. After the title has been widely used, the selection of the emperor’s son-in-law also formed relatively fixed mode. I introduce and discuss the evolution of the selection mode and influence on the Liao Dynasty society. As the emperor’s son-in-law’s exclusive official I will analysis the official law, grade, or substantive the characteristics of the emperor’s son-in-law. The emperor’s son-in-law by virtue of their own strength,identity, family influence factors among the high politics in Liao Dynasty.The fourth chapter explore the political behavior of the bridegroom and the influence on the society of the Liao dynasty. On the existing historical data, They are organized and divided into four aspects, to pacify rebellion and foreign operations,ruling country and offer advice, involved in the rebellion, get involved in politics. And analyze the relationship between political behavior and political situation of Liao Dynasty, make a clear introduction to political behavior of emperor’s son-in-law.
