Objective:This study aims to examine Wang Xiaozhen’s college students’ moral elevation scale whether can be used in junior middle school students.To analyze and understand the current situation and characteristics of junior middle school students’ moral elevation, and to explore the relationship between moral elevation and helping tendency.Methods:On the basis of literature summary,this study used interview method, questionnaire survey method, to study the applicability of Wang Xiaozhen’s college students’ moral elevation scale for junior middle school students.Based on the premise of the initial questionnaire survey of the junior middle school students, integrated use of item analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, testing of validity and reliability for forming a moral elevation questionnaire including 16 items for junior middle school students.And used the questionnaire survey method to explore the current situation of moral elevation in junior middle school students,explored the relationship between moral elevation and helping tendency.Results:The moral elevation scale of junior middle school students consists of 16 items,three dimensions which were emotional experience and express,cognitive judgment, behavioral tendency.The homogeneity reliability of each dimension and total scale was from 0.838 to 0.904.The correlation of each dimension was from 0.428 to 0.543, the correlation between each dimension and total scale was from 0.783 to 0.860.The average scores of junior middle school students’ moral elevation was 3.452.Among them, the highest scores was behavioral tendency, second was cognitive judgment, the lowest was emotional experience and express.There were significant difference in gender,grade and source of students of moral elevation for junior middle school students.The junior middle school girls’ score significantly higher than boys, grade 3 was significantly higher than the first grade, the rural junior middle school students scored significantly higher than the urban junior middle school students(p<0.05).Among students of junior middle schools, the different levels of moral elevation had a significant difference in helping tendency structure.The correlation ratio between moral elevation and helping tendency was 0.519, and could explain the helping tendency of 26.9%.Conclusion:The scale of moral elevation for junior middle school students has good reliability and validity,the moral elevation of junior middle school students is above the middle level and exist significant differences in gender, grade, source of students,and correlates significantly with helping tendency, can significantly predict helping tendency.The results of this study have a certain theoretical and practical value for the cultivation of students’ moral behavior and moral education in junior middle school.
