The Archetypal Study About The Figure Of Zhi Ge A Lu Of Yi Ethnic’s Epic

This thesis intends to use the theory of archetypal criticism to analyze the yi ethnics’ epic of zhi ge a lu. Discussing the traditional culture of Yi ethnic, have profound meaning and far-reaching influence at today. Zhi ge a lu retains a lot of Yi People’s life experiences and cultural elements.In the changing of historical context,the text’s meaning are changing,but the figure of zhi ge a lu always is a stable factors in the text, has formed a common consciencous of Yi people.This thesis attempts to explore zhi ge a lu’s archetypal connotation and archetypal model.Motif and ceremony as archetype’s main carrier,through those can understand Yi people’life concept and contact of.The culture of Yi bi mo reflects Yi People’s primitive religion,and it can explore ancient Yi ethnic’s idea of existence, life wisdom and aesthetic pursuit.This paper divide into five parts.The first chapter is an introduction,analyzing the origin of this topic,the significance and about zhi ge a lu of Yi epic at domestic and abroad;summarizing their research focus, research scope, research method. On this basis, the author explains why she choses this topic.The second chapter mainly introduces the background and outline of zhi ge a lu, to restore the historal context of zhi ge a lu. Whereby we can see human’s na?ve and romantic psychological.The third and fouth chapter are the core part of this paper. The motif and ceremony are the two important carrier of archetypal criticism. Fry argue that motif is a mimimal narrative unit. The author focus zhi ge a lu image, analysizing of the surface of Yi epic motif structure to explore the ancient Yi people’s connotation. The other important archetypal criticism narratived factor is ceremony. Bimo ceremony use zhi ge a lu image as a prototype for constructing instrument to cure illnesses.The ceremony of bi mo can reflect essential characteristics of human behavior and cultural information. Bimo ritual can help understanding Yi People’s spiritual world.The fifth chapter is an further expanding part.This part analyzes the prototype of zhi ge a lu in existence and development of the Yi society.The image of zhi ge a lu is not representative of individual of Yi,but the whole ancient Yi people unconscious.This paper try to analyze Yi ethnic spirit of the people, ethnic custom, ethnic identity between the shadow relation, and then analyze zhi ge a lu prototype in today’s society how to work.The sixth chapter is the conclusion part of this paper. The author sums up archetypal criticism in the practice of Chinese epic,and points out shortingcomings about this thesis.
