After entering the new century, with the development of high-tech, the arrival of information age did a lot of the impact of the traditional national culture, national culture inheritance is imminent. Patterns of blue and white porcelain art as one of the representative of Chinese traditional culture, in a lot of design industry in recent years and has been widely used.In this paper, the patterns of Chinese traditional cultural art of blue and white porcelain combined with 2 d animation in digital media design, to make a promotional video about design element of blue and white porcelain. This paper introduces the research reason, purpose, significance, research status at home and abroad and research innovation. Then from the modelling, color and moral characteristics, this paper introduces the patterns of the blue and white porcelain art and introduces the pattern of blue and white porcelain from Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing history of the five dynasties. Then from the visual communication design, environmental art design and costume design from three aspects to introduce the application of the blue and white porcelain pattern in modern design. The fourth part firstly introduces the concept of 2 d animation development, and then from character animation design, animation scene design and animation derivatives introduced in three aspects: the pattern of blue and white porcelain in 2 d animation art in the field of application and research. The fifth part introduces the graduation design specifications, including graduation design works of creative ideas, production process and graduation design of the main difficulties and solutions.
