The movie script "No Way Out" tells about a story of the contradiction between ideal and reality. The whole screenplay is based on GaoPeng who is a freelance painter full of idealism. It expresses the struggle of the hero and the final compromise by showing his choices facing the plight of continuous career and emotion. The character setting and the plot arrangement in the screenplay is based on the difficulties faced by GaoPeng in his actions and demonstrate his choices under different pressure. After a triple pressure of career frustration, rival in love and the opposition by girlfriend’s mother, GaoPeng selected to meet the market to maintain his dreams, but he dropped into a conspiracy led by XiaoGang. This caused grater strait, and made GaoPeng addicted to the drug addition and lost his lover. He went toward self-destruction after his last wish came to nothing.All of these expresses the helpless of individual life in the era of desires.The interpretation of the movie script "No Way Out" makes an interpretation from these aspects:significance of the subject, plot construction, shape characters and creative means. By summarized and combined my creation, I got a lot of harvest and experience and highlight the role of creating the gap of desires in characterization.In the process of my creation, I treated plot construction and characterization as a whole, and finished them at the same time. To dig the gap of desires is the key link of shape characters, a trajectory from desire to trigger event to strait to choice to the gap of desires to ending promotes the development of the story, and shaping characters can be finished in this process.
