The documentary "24 hours bookstore" is my final project for my graduation. In this project, the emotional story between the reader from Beijing and Taiwan and the bookstore as a clue. The contents can be broke into three parts, firstly, the reason why people will going to the 24 hours bookstore. Secondly, the story between readers and book/bookstore. Thirdly, the opinions of the readers to the bookstore. The film reveals in a place that full of impetuous and utilitarian ear of excess, there is such a place where you can find your soul, gain your knowledge. It will open its arms when you need it, to fulfill your demands, not because of differences in identity, status, power. This bookstore provides a kind of place for people to exchange their cultural and spirit. This project runs 38 mins, took 8 months for shooting, and 3 months in postproduction.This dissertation describes the procedure of the film from start to finished, mainly introduces the reason why choose this topic, Pre-production and creative design, etc, and also discussed the structure design and the camera language. The emotional structure is the main structure of the film, and the editing based on the expresses and emotions of different people. By focusing on the emotional stories between book and bookstore of those people from Beijing and Taiwan, to reflect the social significance of the 24 hours bookstore of a city and people ’ s live. The significance of the existence of 24 hours bookstore,not make any profits, but its social benefits and services provided. It is build to bring readers into the store, to provide a reading room for the public, at any times when people need.
