Content: Oscar Wilde(1854——1900),a Irish writer, is one of the most important writers in the late nineteenth Century, and occupies an important position in the history of world literature. Oscar Wilde created a large number of literary works, and in many aspects of his attempt to enrich the literary expression. Wilde’s fairy tales are important symbol of the formation of its styleIn May 1888, Wilde’s first fairy tale set “The Happy Prince and other Tales” published, including “The Happy Prince”、 “The Nightingale and the Rose”、“The Selfish Giant”、“The Devoted Friend”、“The Remarkable Rocket”. In November 1891, his second fairy tale collection “A House of Pomegranates” published. The book included four fairy tales “The Young King ”、“The Birthday of the Infanta”、“The Fisherman and his Soul”、“The Star-child ”. Although Wilde’s fairy tales are not rich, only 9 works, but his unique characteristics of the fairy tale are not to be ignored.In this paper, we try to analyze Wilder’s nine fairy tales and understand of Oscar Wilde’s narrative features with the tool of Gerard Genette’ s narrative discourse theory and other narrative theory,. We hope that we can have a more profound understanding and cognition of Oscar Wilde’s fairy tales.This thesis consists of three parts: introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction introduces the related concepts of fairy tales and the present research conditions of Wilde’s fairy tales. The main body is composed of three chapters. The first chapter analyzes the view of time、the order of narrative time、the narrative duration and the narrative frequency in Wilde’ tales and narrow fairy tale(Represented by Green’s Fairy Tales). The second chapter introduces narrative mood, comparing the narrative perspective and narrative distance in fairy tales of Oscar Wilde and the relatively narrow fairy tales. Chapter three,narrative voice,explores the narrative time and narrative levels in Wilde’ fairy tales and the relatively narrow fairy tales. Finally, summarizes the whole thesis and reveals the aesthetic value of Wilde’s fairy tales.
