Analysis Of Musicology On A Glass Of Mellow Wine From The Concert Perspective

Musicological analysis is a deepening research concept of music proposed in 1990s by Mr. Yu Runyang, a professor and doctoral supervisor from Central Conservatory of Music. Thereafter, this research concept gradually comes into the view of researchers and becomes a research hotspot for musicological researchers, singers of vocal music as well as instrumentalists. Through learning about musical works’real materials and analyzing musicology focused on musical works, researchers can have an understanding of musical works’actual conditions and then conduct a comprehensive, scientific and epochal interpretation of musical works based on the creator’s times, location and humanistic situation.Musicological analysis contains three dimensions:analysis of the music piece itself, including its melody, rhythm, structure, lyrics, etc; analysis of the music piece’s social, historical and geographical background; analysis of the creation feeling behind the musical work. Having a good grasp of the above basic elements can help players or singers perform works more effectively. This paper is divided into four parts. The first part is the introduction focused on streamlining the documents concerning domestic and overseas musicological analysis, which offers a way to learn about the current trend of musicological analysis and extract theoretical essence from them; the second part is the introduction about the song A Glass of Mellow Wine and its writer; the third part is about the analysis of the music itself in regard to A Glass of Mellow Wine, including such dimensions as structure, meaning of lyrics, rhythm as well as its social and historical background of the musical piece; the fourth part is about figuring out the song’s aesthetic characteristics and singing inspiration through analyzing the excellent version of the song performed by Dilber, Tan Jing and Wu Bixia, etc.Taking Chinese Uighur song A Glass of Mellow Wine performed in the graduation solo concert for postgraduates as research object, under the meticulous guidance of the tutor with respect to the bel canto method in performing songs of ethnic minorities during postgraduate years and based on the theory of musicological analysis proposed by Mr. Yu Runyang, this paper makes a detailed analysis of this musical piece. Through analyzing partial works, the writer purports to extract effective experience for his own singing in order to be more deep and sensitive on specific works for future studying and working and bring analysis of musicology into a more effective application in the process of singing and teaching.
