Since China encourages the introduction of foreign dramas, including the Japanese, Thai, Korean, the British, and the American dramas, which numerously entered the China’s market. Due to advanced network technology and the tendency of audiences’ preference, foreign dramas gradually formed "the bipolar structure" :one kind of drama is for the sake of meeting the audiences’ curiosity towards different cultures, which have assorted cultural background, such as the spread of American dramas. Additionally, another kind of drama is similar to China’s cultural background, such as Korean dramas, which communicate in China since 23 years ago. Korean culture and Chinese culture belong to Confucian culture in eastern Asia. Because of those similarities, Korean dramas attract various Chinese audiences. Since Korean dramas and American dramas entered our country, they compete with each other, which formed "the bipolar structure". As Korean dramas and American dramas increasingly popular in China, the number of the audiences is increasing in a rapid rate. Everyone knows that the two different dramas are from different countries which culture are not the same. We have the following questions. Why can they make our audiences crazy? Secondly, this paper analyzes the impact of the social context in the spread of Korean dramas and American dramas. The author thinks that, both of their content and dissemination are tendency and selective, which contains their mainstream cultural values. Due to the difference of medium, Korean dramas and American dramas, especially on TV transmission model are one-way and linear communication, while the transmission on the Internet is the process of systematic. Finally, the author gives the suggestions to external transmission for China’s dramas.
