At the end of the 19th century, with the opening of the trading ports, the long closed state of China has been broken, cities along the big rivers and the coast gained the priority development of opportunity, began to step into the modern development period. The modern city which benefits from the large machine industry production has the incomparable advantage of the traditional country, and has been developing and growing at an unprecedented speed, which is a serious threat to the country based on the natural economy. The city which represents the modern industrial civilization is the inevitable trend of social development, and it is the symbol of human being’s maturity and civilization. As the shackles of women’s liberation, "internal and external" concept, has a great connection with the village on behalf of the closure of agricultural civilization. In this sense, women’s "running away" also has a deeper meaning. Women are running away from home into the public sphere, from the countryside into the city, while the Chinese society is experiencing a modernization reform, running away from the traditional agricultural civilization, into the modern industrial civilization. Therefore, the "fallen" story under this background has some expression of modernity.The modernity transformation brought to Chinese society with great impact, but just a few years changed the conventional way of life in China for thousands of years, and in which the modern writers feel deeply. Therefore, this article chooses women enter city narrative mode of Chinese modern novel as the center, takes the female’s "run away-enter city- degenerate" trajectory as the entry point, and adopts the methods of close reading to compare and analysis 6 novels belonging to this narrative model. These 6 modern novels are Shen Congwen’s "The Husband", Shi Zhecun’s "Fisherman Named He Changqing", Hei Ying’s "Spring Song", Ding Ling’s "Meng Ke", "In a Small Room In Qingyun" and Xiao Hong’s "The Field Of Life And Death".The article try to explore the writers’ different perception of the modernization and the gender position contained in the same narrative mode.
