Study Of Troditional Brick Art In Jinzhong Of Shanxi

Brick art is one of the most important parts of the decoration art in Chinese classical architecture. On the magnificent palace or folk houses, brick decoration can be seen, which is variously and highly skilled. It has not only the practical function but also the cultural connotation, and conveys people’s yearning for a better life. Since June 7,2008, Shanxi house brick is the Chinese State Council approved the inclusion of the third batch of Chinese national non material cultural heritage, brick art is improven to become the new focus of attention.The paper is based on the basis of on-the-spot investigation in Shanxi Jinzhong Area of each compound, in Jinzhong region of the Wang’s Grand Courtyard, The Qiao’s Family Compound, courtyard of the Chang family, Pingyao ancient city courtyard brick case analysis, in the full collection of first-hand data as the foundation. Firstly I sort of brick conceptual, follow the ancient times, from the overall sequence portion to the paper from the subject classification and meaning above detailed analysis of the artistic features of Jinzhong traditional brick, and from the carving techniques, composition forms of expression and the mood three aspects of traditional brick Jinzhong unique art form, and its inherent artistic and profound cultural connotations. Secondly, by comparing the Jinzhong brick works in northern and southern in China and brick works on behalf of the region, obtained in different regions and different cultural brick tradition of the presentation of the different artistic characteristics. The biggest feature of my paper is the quotation of a large number of images to illustrate the problem, and these pictures are informative and exquisite and taken by author at different courtyard in Jinzhong region personally. Finally, to the problem of inheritance and development in Shanxi Jinzhong Brick Artsfacing forward in the modern cultural context, the author make some superficial recommendations.
