Kissing The Amorous Land Graduation Project Of Degree

Yiheng Cao’s Master Graduation Solo Concert Kissing the Amorous Land is the second concert during my study period of Master. In the first concert, my classmate and partner Wenhui Yi and I had a concert in Chinese Conservatory of Music, which broke the Conservatory’s conventional concert mode and could be called a successful one. In this second one, I want to go back to academic mode of concert and make it a summary of eight years’ vocal learning. Since I admitted to Chinese Conservatory of Music in 2008, I’ve been learning from Prof. Ma Qiuhua. During the learning phase, I’ve attended many competitions, performances and also achieved something. I’ve prepared 12 tracks for this concert, including ancient Chinese music, art songs, opera, folk songs, creative songs and original songs. When preparing, I’ve try my best to include all kind of tracks, hoping to fully display what I’ve learned, so as to make the concert as rich and wonderful as possible.The article, themed the graduation concert in May 18, 2016, combined with my own understanding of music and the artistic practice in the past, provides a more comprehensive design for the concert and a simple analysis for the tracks.
