Since it was published, Han Shu as the classical history records, has been attracting widespread attention Numberless scholars read it, some of them noted and commented it. Therefore, the spreading of Han Shu becomes a vital problem of the study of academic history and historiography. In this dissertation, the author selects four editions of Han Shu during the Han to Tang dynasty to make an initial comparative study, which divides into four independent sections to explain the multifaceted question about the spreading. At the First chapter, from the time of Han Shu came out to the Three Kingdom Period, to a certain extent, the author doubts that the tutor discipleship in studying the Han Shu with the angle about the Confucius studies in Han dynasty between the tutor discipleship and the family educationThen, searching figures who have the opportunity to read Han Shu is the Standard History, the author makes a list as appendix, and illustrates the details about their studies. Besides, in the special period in the late Han dynasty and the Three Kingdom, what did the scholars define Han Shu? Through the investigation of the late Han Dynastic’s scholars’s notes about Han Shu, the author demonstrate the identity of Han Shu at that time, which is the comment of Han Shu has a certain relation with Gu Wen classical Confucius study. Furthermore, this kind of relation could date back to the literature genre "Zhuan" that explains the Confucius study in Han dynasty. "Zhuan" as a new genre after Six dynasty was developing to miscellaneous biographies and novels. At the second chapter, it is going to indicate the new genre novel’s role in historiography. As a masterpiece, Han Shu was widely imitated by the novels about fairies and mysterious elements in the Six dynasty. Some of them even quoted it directly. In this section, in order to prove the novel is not only part of the history of literature, but also should regard as another angle of historiography, this paper gives the analysis of the imitation among the novels’ choreography, characters, content and structure, etc., and the Han Shu.In the third chapter, for avoiding the trap that the history of Southern and Northern dynasties is always distinct from the study of confucian classics, this section is going to observe the feature of them to find out their connection. The book Shishuoxinyu is an evidence to depict the academic rule in the Eastern Jin and the Southern dynasty, to some extent, the history writing is following the regulation. The spreading of Han Shu is under this atmosphere. In addition, citing a specific commenter shows the general academic condition. Finally, this paper has analyzed the relation between "Zhuan" and "Gu Xue", which had been mentioned several times in this article. In the fourth chapter, the comments of Han Shu from Yan Shugu is a masterpiece in this period. Initially, it is going to analyse the academic idea from Yan Shigu’s grandfather, Yan Zhitui, Liu Xuan and Liu Zhuo who compiled the Wujingzhengyi, to observe the relationship among the four scholars, for the sake of revealing the academic background and feature of Yan Shigu’s commenteries of Han Shu. Yan’s comments not only inherited his grandfather’s contribution, but also inspired by Liu Xuan and Liu Zhuo. His comments of Han Shu displayed these double influence from the senior and peers. Furthermore, the academic features of Liuxuan and Liuzhao are illustrated by the example of "Xiao Jing Shu Yi" written by Liuxuan, in order to deepen the understanding of the two authors’works.
